The Parking team helps to manage car and foot traffic at our busiest spots at North River, especially the main crosswalk and by the Family Learning Center. Our goal is to facilitate safe crossing for pedestrians and help direct cars where they need to go, all with a smile and a wave!
To be a part of the Security Team you must be committed to protecting members and guests of North River. We are looking for: someone who is punctual, has no major health issues, is prepared to volunteer each Sunday, commit to once a month training, pass a background check, be alert and pay attention to detail. You do not have to have a military or police background, just a willingness to learn, and a desire to serve!
We need more volunteers to help translate our Sunday services into Spanish! We have a large Spanish-speaking community in our church and the surrounding community, and this is a great way to help reach people!
Help our church family worship and stay connected, both in the room and online! Our AV team serves during Sunday services, midweeks, and special events in the auditorium.
Our biggest needs:
Technical Director (TD): Help oversee the service as a whole, coordinating the AV team and keeping everyone ready for what comes next. A great fit for someone who communicates clearly, stays calm, and enjoys bringing the pieces together.
In-House Audio: Help create clear, balanced sound so people in the auditorium can hear and participate in worship.
Livestream Audio: Mix sound for our online church family, helping voices and instruments come through clearly.
Other ways to serve:
Camera Operator: Capture the service through thoughtful camera shots.
Livestream Operator: Run the livestream computer and help keep our online service running smoothly.
Lighting Operator: Run the lighting board to support what’s happening on stage.
Projection Operator: Display lyrics, slides, and videos so everyone can follow along.
Stagehand: Help move microphones, instruments, and other equipment into place safely throughout the service.
We’ll help you get started:
Hands-on training is provided for every role.
Computer skills, an artistic eye, or a knack for teamwork can all find a home here.
Serve on a regular rotation and build confidence alongside the team.
What volunteers do: collect used communion, help guests to find seating, help greet guests and manage crowd flow, man/monitor auditorium entry doors, distribute recognition gifts during special events
Time commitment / Schedule: consistently serve Sunday mornings for 3 months, 9:40 arrival
Qualities or Skills Needed?: No special skills needed, have a servant-mindset (be ready to give), be kind, welcoming, helpful and friendly, be consistent and committed.

Who We Are:
(1) The first impression everyone has as they come into God's house, and you are the last impression they have as they leave.
(2) The people with the answers. And if you don't know the answer you find someone who does or just say Jesus is the answer.
(3) We are connectors. We connect visitors or move-ins with members who live in their area so they can join a family group.
(4) We are a friendly face and a warm heart/hug. We represent God's hospitality and family.
We are asking for everyone who is serving to arrive in the lobby between 9:15am -9:30am.
Love to sing or play an instrument? Help lead our church family in worship as we praise God and point one another to Jesus!

Drums & Percussion: Bring rhythm and energy while supporting the whole team.
Singers: Blend your voice with others to help lead our church family in song. Harmony skills and the ability to read music are helpful.
There’s room for more:
Acoustic & Electric Guitar: Add rhythm, texture, and melody to our worship.
Strings, Woodwinds & Brass: Bring your instrument’s unique voice to the team.
We’ll grow together:
Every position begins with an audition, followed by ongoing training.
We’re looking for people with musical ability, a heart for worship, and a willingness to learn.
Bring your gifts and enjoy making music with a team that loves God and serves together!

The Youth Empowerment Services (YES!) ministry supports the food insecurity needs of children and families in our community. Each winter and spring break, North River teams provide meals for families supported by the services of the Marietta City Schools social workers. Furthermore, we partner with the MUST Neighborhood Pantry on a quarterly basis to staff the drive-thru/walk-up monthly pantry night. We are always grateful to have more eager hearts answer the call to serve and be a picture of Jesus to our community!
